What is Order Stashing?

Order stashing allows restaurant staff to temporarily save incomplete orders and retrieve them later. This is especially useful for:

  • Tables that aren't ready to order
  • Customers who need more time to decide
  • Splitting checks between multiple parties

How to Use Stashing

Stashing an Order

  1. Build the order normally
  2. Press F8 or select "Stash Order"
  3. System automatically:
    • Records timestamp
    • Saves all items and modifications
    • Preserves table assignment

Retrieving Stashed Orders

  1. Navigate to Stashed Orders section
  2. Locate order by:
    • Customer name
    • Time stashed
    • Table number
  3. Select "Load Order" to continue

Best Practices

  • Use clear customer names for easy retrieval
  • Review stashed orders regularly
  • Train all staff on stashing procedures
  • Clear stashes when tables turn over
